<Applies to all NON DKP Raids such as and 5 mans.>
General Behavior * Having beers is fine; being drunk or otherwise distracted for periods of time is not. * Making a mistake that wipes us is fine - making multiple mistakes ending in wipes is not. You will be removed from the Raid if you make a fun experience a trip to hell.
Pre-Raid Requirements * Sign-up on the events list if there is one. * Raid Leader reserves the right to substitute players as needed in ensure the Raid’s success. * It is essential for the enjoyment of the whole Raid that you be on time. "On time" means at the rally point at or before the scheduled departure time. Late would include "on the bird", "just finishing up the pre-req quest", playing an alt, or "have a Warlock summon me". * There is a max 5 minute grace period past the scheduled departure time where the Raid leader will hold your spot in the Raid. After 5 minutes the Raid leader is encouraged to replace you in the Raid and has the full support of the officers of LYL to do so. You must be at the rally point within the 5 minutes grace period (using the in-game clock) to keep your spot. * If you want to attend the Raid but think you might be late, you should indicate so in your event signup. Raid leaders can make arrangements for late players but must know so in advance. Hopefully, this would be used for irregular real-life events and not have players consistently being late. We may revisit this part. * Have your stuff ready e.g. repair, trinkets, poisons, reagents etc.,. * You must be on Ventrilo. * You must use ORA2 and Bigwigs.
Raid Requirements * Know who the MA is, and use the MA windows. * Know who the MT (main tank) is and ignore him when he peels for aggro. * Know your Raid role e.g. sapper, puller, sheep detail, hunter AoE etc.,.. If you're not clear, ask. Do not assume you're on point for a task even if you're capable of it. * Know your class role e.g. rogues will not tank. Celebrate your class limitations.
Group Roles * Main Assist (MA). This person keeps the majority of the group focused on a single mob, generally the elites and/or highest level. Note that targeting current and visually selecting/tracking the next threatening mob (based on elite/non-elite and level) is more important than the MA’s damage output. * Main Tank (MT). This person has agro on current kill target to keep them off the of DPS and Healers. It is there responsibility to keep agro on them for the duration of the fight. * Off Tank (OT). This person off-tank adds (caster aggro prevention), and grabs aggro from casters as needed (for those mobs not being off-tanked). *Generally* speaking the OT operates independently of the MA.
Loot Rules
Following “rules” are based on the concept of fair play and teamwork. It may seem lengthy but it meets the goal of respecting everyone’s time, which is the hidden “quest” in WoW. * Blue/Purple is 1 per instance. If everyone has received 1 item already, every is allowed to roll again. * Blue/Purple FFA (no one needs) to vendor or disenchant. * Green/Blue BOE is Need roll. If you need the item ask the person who won the roll. * Green BOP is passed. If no one needs it, please roll on it after everyone passes. * Unless Raid Leader decides otherwise, everybody is expected to PASS on ALL BoP items and then roll at the Raid Leader’s signal. Don’t roll unless you need it. If no one needs it, FFA.
Definitions * BoP: bind on pickup. * BoE: bind on equip. * FFA: free-for-all.
Exceptions Any exceptions to these rules - and they sometimes do occur - will be made by the Raid leader.
